Min. Derrick Ross ~ Praise and Worship Leader
(aka D. Ross) is from Montgomery, Al., he started playing piano at the age of 12. D Ross received his formal training in voice/pianist at Alabama State University and Buchli School of Music and Arts. D. Ross is a member of: The Music and Arts Love Fellowship Conference founded by Dr. Edwin Hawkins and Bishop Walter Hawkins; Rev. James Cleveland Gospel Music Workshop of America; he is the minister of music of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Celebration Choir of Lowndes County, Alabama SFG ( Songs From God) Tokyo, Japan, and founded recording gospel group D. Ross and Higher Calling. D. Ross has shared the stage with recording artist: LaShun Pace, Orlando Draper, Angela Spivey, Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Phil Perry and so many more. In addition to writing songs and playing, he likes teaching step aerobics, working out, and traveling.

Corey Rudolph ~ Tenor
Is a gifted and anointed psalmist! Since the age of nine he has been singing in the church choir at Bougahoma Missionary Baptist Church. His goal is to reach the heart of God’s people. Auditioning for Sunday Best in 2009 was such a great experience for him. Marvin Sapp is one of his favorite psalmist. Diane Terrence ~ Soprano
Is from Birmingham, Alabama. Church affiliation; Saved by Grace Ministries, Darren Hurst Pastor. She has been singing since she was a little girl. Along with singing with Higher Calling, God has also given her a ministry called Songs of Hope which ministers in hospitals, nursing homes and correctional facilities. “I have truly been blessed to be apart of such a wonderful ministry, Higher Calling is on the move for Christ”. ~ Dianne Tarrance

Aretha Webster ~ Soprano
Is from Montgomery, Alabama. Church affiliation; First Missionary Baptist Church in Whitehall, Alabama. Aretha has been singing since she was eight years olds when she was made to sing “Jesus be a fence all around me” and she has been singing every since. Singing is her passion, it is her way of expressing her feelings during happy and sad times. But most of all it is her way to sing praises unto the Lord. “I thank God for being the Overseer in my life and thanks to my family and friends for all their support”. ~ Aretha E. Webster

Willetta Vaughner Dunning ~ Soprano
Is from White Hall, Alabama. She currently resides with her husband in Selma, Alabama. She is a lover of Christ and gives all praises to God for He is truly worthy to be praised. Church affiliation: Word of Life Church, Montgomery, AL. John L. Dasher, Pastor. Willetta came into fellowship through songs with Higher Calling in 2009 and it has been a blessing to her to be connected with such an anointed group of people. “We truly do praise God through a Higher Calling”. “I pray that someone is touched and grows closer to God by our ministry through song”. ~ Willetta Vaughner Dunning

Jocelyn Webster ~ Alto
Is from Montgomery, Alabama, Church affiliation; Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church under the leadership of Pastor Ron Burroughs. She is the mother of one son, who is her motivation to face life’s trials and tribulations. She has been singing since the age of three. Jocelyn states, “Back then I didn’t understand the purpose of song but now that I am older I realize that God has given me this gift to praise and worship His name”. She thanks God for blessing her and placing her in the hearts of the members of Higher Calling. “Singing with Higher Calling is the best thing that every happened to me spiritually and mentally. We sing to glorify and magnify God, and to reach someone who doesn’t fully know the goodness of God”. Through heartaches and pain we are still here. Disappointments and sorrows we are still here.
